Exchange, Insights, and A-ha Moments: That Was Clarity Connect _Tuebingen 2025

In mid-May, itdesign hosted over 150 participants from 8 countries, all there to exchange ideas, gain inspiration, and network with the Clarity community.

From May 13th to 15th, it was that time again when over 150 guests from 45 companies and 8 countries came together at itdesign in Tuebingen (Germany) for Clarity Connect 2025. For three days, the focus was on new ideas for using Clarity, innovative approaches to project and portfolio management, and fostering an open exchange within the community.

It was particularly pleasing that, for the first time, we were able to offer the event in two languages and thus invite our international customers — a real enrichment for the community and the event.

Punting, Sunshine, and Positive Vibes at the Pre-event

We began with the traditional pre-event program, which included relaxed conversations during the get-together in the forecourt of itdesign, a trip on a punt on the Neckar, and dinner together overlooking Tuebingen from our company building. The weather was perfect — ideal conditions for a successful start!

New Dimensions — Linguistic and Spatial

As the event grew, so did the need for extending the location. For the first time, the main part of Clarity Connect took place at “Neckawa” directly across from our headquarters. It offered more space, more possibilities, and an ideal setting for exchange, presentations, and discussions.

The first day of the event was split into two with two parallel streams: one in German and one in English. This enabled us to tailor the content to the respective audience and, at the same time, create space for more in-depth discussions. On the second day, all participants gathered at Neckawa. Presentations were held in both German and English with live translation. We were pleased that this mix worked so well, showing that even in an international community, a joint exchange can be successful regardless of language.

Content with Substance

Once again, a central component of Clarity Connect this year was the practical contributions from the community. Companies such as Dr. Oetker, Bausparkasse Schwäbisch Hall, imec, R+V Versicherung, and Zollner offered insights into their work with Clarity and PPM processes behind, including portfolio management, change processes, agile transformation, and data quality. Thank you to all the speakers for this valuable exchange!

The customer presentations were supplemented by contributions from itdesign on topics such as PMO and portfolio management. A highlight was the playful discussion of resource planning in the English stream.

Our partners DIGIX and BDO, as well as the software manufacturer Broadcom, were also present, sharing their expertise on topics such as AI and software implementation, and engaging directly with participants. There was also an outlook on the Clarity roadmap from Product Manager Brian Nathanson.

The program concluded with interactive formats and the popular Best of PPM series.

The Community as the Centerpiece

Ultimately, two things remain paramount: the strong community and the informal atmosphere. The core of Clarity Connect is the conversations, connections across company boundaries, and honest exchange of experiences at eye level.

For the itdesign team, Clarity Connect is also a valuable learning experience every year. The personal exchange on site is especially enriching for the long-term relationship with our customers and is always enjoyable for us, even though we often communicate via online meetings in everyday life.

We would like to thank everyone who attended, participated, and helped us create a personal, professionally valuable, and energetic event. We are already looking forward to the next reunion, whether in Tuebingen or elsewhere.
