With Clarity 16.4.2, Broadcom introduces several enhancements designed to simplify day-to-day work in project and portfolio management environments. The release focuses particularly on artificial intelligence, reporting flexibility, and improved visibility across hierarchies and roadmaps. In addition, existing Data Warehouse (DWH) and reporting capabilities have been expanded to support more comprehensive analyses and better-informed decision-making. The latest enhancements across the Data Warehouse (DWH), Data Providers, and reporting capabilities provide a stronger foundation for analytics and reporting. At the same time, new formatting and calculation options increase reporting flexibility and usability.

Data Warehouse

The Data Warehouse enhancements expand the available data foundation for reporting and analytics. In addition, Clarity now supports more advanced data structures and formatted content within the DWH.

• Adding several task dependency attributes to the DWH
• Adding “Days Late %” and “Default Allocation %” attributes to status reports in the DWH
• Adding OBS structure and department object attributes to the DWH
• Supporting rich text and large string attributes in the DWH including markup formatting
• Introducing the Data Warehouse Schema Explorer (BETA)

Data Providers

The latest Data Provider enhancements simplify the handling of calculated attributes and improve the transparency of validation and error handling.

• Improving error messages for calculated attributes
• Supporting additional operations in expressions for calculated attributes
• Displaying metric calculated attributes as percentages

Report Designer

The latest report designer enhancements provide additional flexibility for configuring and visually designing reports.

• Defining manual color selections for chart slices and bar charts
• Associating start and end dates in period settings with dates in filters
• Applying conditional formatting rules to group rows (levels 1–3) and total rows

Reports

The latest reporting enhancements simplify data exports and improve the handling of more advanced reporting scenarios.

• Exporting a single table to Excel
• Preventing the distribution of empty reports
• Reverting units of measure, periods, and filters to the last saved state
• Performing calculations at the group level instead of aggregating values
• Adding reports as modules on blueprints and passing parameters

2. SPM Command Center

The latest SPM Command Center enhancements improve the centralized management of events and punchlist processes. This makes it easier to structure and manage information across complex hierarchies.

• Pulling different types of events into hierarchies to view and manage punchlist items across events
• Adding a punchlist module within hierarchies blueprints to display various event-type investments
• Associating lookup attributes within cost plans as an additional grouping attribute

3. Artificial Intelligence in Clarity

The AI capabilities in Clarity continue to evolve to support more flexible and practical AI-driven workflows. Administrators also gain additional configuration options for managing AI agents more efficiently.
