1. Innovations in Project Management

The focus of the Clarity release 16.1.0 was the redesign and further development of Project Management functions. The following features are now available for you:

  • Copying of projects including all project fields and configured modules
  • Moving tasks in the scheduling shifts all successor tasks
  • Ability to filter assignments to show only those for active resources
  • Board view with swimlanes and sorting in Tasks workspace (BETA)
  • New Calendar view for scheduling tasks
  • Availability of visual widgets in Grid view for time cards

2. New Functions for Status Reports

In the new Clarity version 16.1.0, a dedicated workspace to view status reports across investment types is now available. At the same time, multiple status reports can be exported to PDF format. Furthermore, it is now possible to include one or more to dos into the configurable canvas.

3. Improved Financial Transparency

In the area of Financial Management, Clarity release 16.1.0 brings a new Transactions workspace in Modern UX for creating, viewing, editing, deleting, and copying financial transactions in the Grid view. New visual widgets for financial plans have also been developed.

4. Optimized Roadmap

With the upgrade to Clarity 16.1.0, the functions within the Roadmap have been improved once again. Roadmap items can now be easily ordered in the Grid view using drag and drop. There is also an option to include event names for Roadmap items in the Timeline view.

5. New Functions for Your Lifecycle Management

Another focus of the new version was the development of new Lifecycle Management features in Clarity. These include the following:

  • Configuration of Action Item modules for Projects, Ideas, and Custom Investments via blueprints
  • Ability to directly act to an Action Item from an email (BETA)
  • Improved "My Workspace" through new features like conversations and email notifications
  • "% availability" as a unit of measure for use in the Staffing module and Staffing workspace

With the reinvention of the Resource Management module, the Staffing Plan workspace will no longer be enhanced and is planned to be removed as of the Clarity release 16.1.2 in May 2023.

6. Innovations in Hierarchies

From now on, the use of the Staffing module in combination with configurable widgets is available. Furthermore, Financials module is editable and offers the possibility to drill down to actuals.

7. Implemented Customer Suggestions (Customer Voice)

Key improvements achieved through Broadcom’s Customer Innovation Panel include the following:

  • Editing visual widgets directly from the widgets ribbon.
  • Filter grouping options for all or any combinations
  • Improved views by sharing via access groups
  • Ability to aggregate Grid view per column by data type (e.g., average, count, total)
  • Display of Details Flyout on the right side or at the bottom of the page
  • Option to show or hide selected attributes for Business Rules within the Properties module
  • Improved administrative access to audit information directly from the Modern UX for all API enabled objects (including users)
